Address start location
The start is in the Nelson Mandelapark in Haarlem. This is also the finish location. Please note: you can't park here. 

Public transport
We recommend everyone to come to Haarlem by train or bus. From NS Station Haarlem, it is a 10-minute walk to our start and finish location. Plan you journey by public transport easily via ns.nl of 9292.nl.

Walking route from the station
The route from Haarlem Station to the start is marked with arrows. Exit the station on the Kennemerplein side. At the traffic lights, cross the N200 and turn right. Cross the Kloppersingel via the Rozenhagen Bridge. Then turn left onto the Kloppersingel and right at Vrouwehekstraat. Take the first left towards Zocherstraat and continue straight ahead until you reach Nelson Mandelapark. Turn right onto Bolwerken and cross the water of the Schotersingel via the Noorderbrug Bridge.

By bicycle
Do you live near the start location? Then feel free to come by bike! That's a good warm-up for your walk through Haarlem. There is a bicycle shed at the start and finish location. 

Car | Paid parking
Travelling by car anyway? There is no parking at the start location Nelosn Mandelapark. We recommend not coming by car to the area around the start location. This is largely parking permit area.

On Parkeren in Haarlem you can find an overview of car parks and garages in Haarlem and their rates. The closest car park is Cronjé Parkeergarage on Kleverlaan. 

Closed parking garage station
Please note: the parking garage at Haarlem Station is closed by reason of work. 

Returning home
Take your time on your return journey. It may be a bit busier at the train station and on the roads around the car parks after the Kika Haarlem City Walk. Not in a hurry? Then enjoy some more time at the finish party!
